I’m sorry, I’m sickened. In case you had any hope that some honest journalism exists, think again. A few days ago, the Thug in Chief threatened the Supreme Court of this nation (who, by the way, do NOT report to the President no matter how much he wishes they did.) During this little tantrum, he also claimed that his health care initiative that was passed into law had widespread “bipartisan support.” This outright lie was repeated over and over again in the One Party Media without question as if all of us had been given some kind of memory drug that would erase events we experienced first hand. After all, if Katie Couric says it is so, it must be so!
Here’s a reality check. In order to have “bipartisan” support you would need at least one of the opposing party to vote for that turd of a bill. Does the media not know that by a touch of a search button one can find the records of Congress? Here are the facts: Not ONE Republican in the House or the Senate voted for Obamacare. Not one. And in the House, 34 Democrats joined the Republicans in saying NO. The only bipartisan support this bill had was in opposition to it. From Wikipedia:
PPACA passed the Senate on December 24, 2009, by a vote of 60–39 with all Democrats and two Independents voting for, and all Republicans voting against. It passed the House of Representatives on March 21, 2010, by a vote of 219–212, with 34 Democrats and all 178 Republicans voting against the bill.
The absurdity of the president’s statements about bipartisan support are overwhelming. Not only does he not understand what judicial review is or the basics of our Constitution that will not allow the government to force citizens to sign a contract with a vendor, he also can’t remember 2010. Maybe there is a bigger reason than privacy the president’s medical records are sealed. He must be suffering from some terrible brain-eating disease that causes him to block out distressing events. The passage of the Obamacare bill and the run up to it started the Townhall outbursts and eventually sprouted the Tea Party that swept Democrats out of office across the country in record numbers,.
His “bipartisan” supported bill was so unpopular, grandmothers using walkers marched on Washington D.C. in protest. It doesn’t get less bipartisan than a bill that got no oppositional support and yet the media allows Obama to make the outrageous claim that it did get some kind of mythical support across the aisle.
IS ANYONE GOING TO POINT THIS OUT? Or once again, will it just be us commentators on the web shouting into our bullhorns while the media ignores us like crazy sidewalk preachers? I think I know the answer to that one.
